Here are some of the customer comments we received from Jalan.

I want to go back!

I was taught by a woman, who was very kind and instructive, even for a beginner, so I felt at ease throughout the whole process. I made a pair of cups, and I really appreciated the way she helped me with the slight differences in shape at the end.
And the finished plates arrived today! I just wanted to tell you how happy I was when I opened the cardboard and saw how wonderfully you colored them! Thank you so much!

I couldn't make it the way I wanted.

The support and atmosphere are perfect.
However, I was disappointed that I could no longer consider the work as my own, as it was mostly made by the staff who were teaching.
It seems that the staff is so desperate to prevent the pieces from cracking when they are baked that they end up making most of them.
I'd like to see the staff confirm at the beginning how far they are allowed to intervene, depending on their age.
However, I would like you to visit this kiln because it is a stress-free place where they explain and guide you through the process in a well-organized manner and you can start working smoothly.

It's great.

My son and I had a chance to experience it together. My son, who experienced the hand-rolling, said he wanted to go again, so we did the next day. It was the first time for us to experience an electric potter's wheel, but it was nice to be able to make a piece of art on our own while being guided gently and carefully. It was great to see the children concentrating on their work. I would like to go again. It's a nice place with hot springs nearby.

A perfect memento of a family vacation.

My eldest daughter, who is in her first year of working, my second daughter, who is in her third year of junior high school, and I went to the workshop. Thanks to the excellent timing of the instructor's help, even my second daughter, who is not very dexterous, was able to make a shape and was very happy that she was able to make what she wanted to make. He gave us a lecture beforehand on how big a piece we could make with 1kg of clay, so it was easy for us to visualize what we would make. My daughters made one for themselves and one for me as a gift, and I was impressed to see them earnestly struggling with the clay. A five-year-old child was using an electric potter's wheel among the adults, and at the next table, a couple was making a teacup. With all due respect, I signed up for this event as a way to kill some time during my skiing and hot spring trip, but I felt like I could enjoy it even if it was my main focus, or perhaps I would like to come back and try my hand at electric soldering iron all day long!^_^

Regardless of your age, gender, or family structure, you can of course enjoy it alone, so please consider experiencing pottery when you stop by Togatta Onsen. Highly recommended!

I'm very satisfied! I will go back!

I arrived earlier than my appointment, but there was no need to wait. It was my first time to try hand-bowling, and it was difficult for me to get it right, but she kindly gave me advice and made adjustments. She also gave me a lot of compliments and made it very enjoyable. I would like to go again.
